Here in central FL you'd barely know there was this whole pandemic thing happening anywhere; certainly you'd never think this was an "epicenter" (which it most definitely is). Store parking lots are packed, basketball courts at the park were packed with games going on, and not much mask-wearing on people coming in and out of stores from what I can see. Which, to be fair, isn't much as this is not the time to be going inside places, mask or not.

No idea what I'm going to do with my son just entering high school. I really don't want to put him in virtual school, especially as he is in band, but opening schools here seems foolhardy. Not even so much for the kids' health (though they are not immune) but for all the teachers and parents/grandparents that take care of them.

Every time I drive by the beach on Lake Michigan, I see hoards of tourists packed together with no masks on. Many of them are simply vegetating next to one another as if they are intentionally trying to incubate the American apocalypse.

I know airborne transmission outside is supposedly far safer than indoors, but I would have to believe many people are getting a high enough viral dose to get infected.

I've seen (and am still seeing) the same thing at the few beaches near here (also on Lake Michigan, funny enough). Lots of ignorance in the upper midwest to be sure, and it isn't simply people disregarding recommendations...it's idiots trying to be "in-your-face" about not wearing masks or following other guidelines. These are the same fucktards that blow up in your face when you ask them to put a mask on to enter a business.
They feel like they are entitled to do whatever they want or feel like, no matter who else it might harm or effect. To me it's done in the same vein as FYGM, as if to say, "haha! what are YOU gonna do bout it?!"

agreed, that was planned to make some kind of a point, not sure what the point is other than your smelling your stankie ass cooch

I didn't pay close attention or hear audio so it might be vastly different. My first thought is maybe it has something to do with the birth control ruling.

wasn't sure if this fell under covidiots or yaewbt

This is the orange menace. He has emboldened all of these
closet/out--from-unde-the-rock, racists to show their ugly side.

I think the best we can hope for is that they crawl back under those rocks,
Nov 3rd.

30 year old goes to a Covid party to see if Covid is contagious.
While it is dumb I feel bad for the dude. I can easily imagine my younger self going to a Covid party not thinking Covid is a hoax but thinking I’ll be fine may as well get it over with and win some cash plus bragging rights.

I have a hard time working up any sympathy for him. How can anyone with an IQ above room temp have not figured out after 3.5 years of non stop lies that Trump is just a worthless scumbag pathological liar?

If he had kids, I feel for them, as they have to go through life knowing their dad was a complete idiot.

They're completely tribal about Trump. A lot of brilliant right wing propagandists have messed with their minds for decades. Trump took it to a new level.

Absolute madness, the citizens of FL should issue a class action against places like this for endangering the population by opening.

ironically enough, it's actually safer in Disney than out on the streets of FL. i still don't support their opening under the current conditions.

How ironic it is that it's the folks who aren't listening to Trump and those Repub governors that back his play of whom will be the most effective and accountable for stabilizing and lessening the effects of the virus.

More so, Trump and those compliant Repub governors of his will take credit for any downturn and totally ignore those many unnecessary deaths they caused by downplaying the effects of the pandemic and how these party-first idiots prolonged its effects.
