I'm curious if people here are going to call out these protestors as "covidiots", considering that they just happen to (statistically) vote the same as they do.

It's easier to hate on people who aren't following the CDC social distancing guidelines when it's just a bunch of Christian conservative white guys who just want go to church, isn't it?

Your projection is in High Definition.

They both fall under "freedom of assembly" as far as our laws are concerned. If you're treating them differently just because you agree with what these particular protestors are doing, then you're just re-enforcing a double standard.

I was under the impression that your laws meant that 'freedom of assembly' did not supersede the laws on quarantine and addressing outbreaks of infectious disease?

Gibbons v. Ogden, I believe was a key case.

An individual is also free to hold different moral judgements about different instances where those laws conflict. I'm fairly sure that's also a legal right.

I'm not sure if you're agreeing with me or posing a counter-argument.
Complete agreement Mikey. You were calling him on the false equivalency, and I was merely pointing out it is one of the primary tools being used.

People can worship God anywhere. People can't stage a protest unless they take it to the streets.

So dishonest. The SCOTUS just ruled that Churches are like concerts & entertainment venues for the purposes of public health. In dissent, Kavanaugh dishonestly claimed they should be compared to grocery stores. Go figure-

I figure it won't matter much rather shortly. We're just going to wing it with the pandemic. It's just a hoax to stop Trump rallies, anyway, and to put Bill Gates' Soros nanobots into your throat on those swabs. Once they get in your brain the 5G radiation lets them control your mind. So al you geezers need to show up in person to vote for Trump, because reasons.

Why don't they do it through Zoom? It seems that's the way we're doing everything else that requires a group meeting right now.

After being told to "Stay Home, Stay Safe" by our state governors over the past two months, I'm suprised by the lack of anger about people fragrantly disobeying the stay at home orders to protest over the past few days.

The coronavirus fatality rate is higher within lower income communities. Who do you think is going to bear the brunt of the outbreaks that will inevitably result from these protests?

The protests are just part of that problem. Merricuh ain't skeered. Fuck you, Rona! All you wage slave suckas need to get back to work anyway, STFU & pay the goddamned rent. Fucking moochers are hiding behind a damned hoax!

Pandemics don’t discriminate. Such deep concern over people wanting to go to the beach and church, don’t hear the usual voices demand Dr. Fauci speak at a press conference to discuss the pandemic implications of the past few days. The Surgeon General however did release a statement to address it.

Maybe you can finally craft Bothsides! into a winning argument, huh? I can see it all now- Trump & his enablers claiming it was all, like, totally under control until the wicked Antifas fucked it up... It's all their fault! Oh, and only Libruhl pussies wear masks, anyway. Let's see how well they work for teargas, assholes. El Douche needs to get across the street to wave a bible around in front of a church.

Wow... and I'M the one that they keep accusing of day-drinking while posting around here. There is no way that post was written sober.

Does God not have an internet connection? Doth the Lord not Zoom or Skype?
Or does he have bandwidth issues?

Protest via Zoom so nobody will notice. Oh, yeh. That'll work. Consider the idea that you might be daft.

Protesters? If you were having trouble with social distancing at the protest you're really not gonna like it when we toss y'all into some buses & then off to a nice crowded jail. Fuck you, Libtards. Pepper spray & teargas are good for the lungs, anyway. Excellent expectorants.

Was that bit of mocking a bit over your head?

In theory that is true, however the faux christians (most of them) cannot because it doesn't count unless you do your 'worshiping' for show, not because you actually believe.

No different than protesting, if no one "sees" then why bother?

Fuck this guy. Seriously, fuck him.

A co-founder of the ReOpen Maryland movement has said on social media that he tested positive for coronavirus this week but won’t work with public health officials trying to track the spread of the pandemic.

Tim Walters, a two-time Republican candidate for the General Assembly from Linthicum, said in a series of Facebook videos starting Tuesday that he has come down with COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the coronavirus.

“I was diagnosed yesterday at the ER with COVID-19 and here I am months after not wearing a mask at rallies, churches and so on and so it’s funny how capricious this thing is,” he said.
...

Walters urged people who have come in contact with him in the past two weeks to pay attention to the symptoms he described but he said he would not provide any information to public health officials trying to trace the spread of the disease.

It was Satan!

"No one ever got sick at any of our rallies, to include me! Start a church, and I get sick...” he said. “I got it because Satan deemed to get it. Because he wanted to quiet my work. To slow down the building of a church. That’s what this is about. But the world won’t see that. Why? Because they live behind a veil. They choose to live behind a veil. They choose to hate God."

Medical assistance should be tied to cooperating with public health for contact tracing. Stamp the scarlett letter C on his forehead in the meantime.

They should plaster his face all over the media, with the caption that this asshole doesn't give a damn about your well being, but if you have been near his, get tested. If you haven't, avoid him like the plague (which he actually is). And don't forget to thank him for being a total dick.

He's a respected lieutenant in the Republican Death Cult.

18 family members diagnosed with coronavirus after surprise party in Texas

"He said the party was hosted by his nephew, who did not know at the time that he had coronavirus, and included about 25 people showing up at different times. "

WTF people? Doesn't anyone believe in science?

“Surprise! You get Covid!”

I'm shocked more people in my county don't have covid. I went to Lowe's yesterday and there was maybe 50% compliance with mask wearing.
And then of those 50% that did wear a mask, maybe 25% didn't have it covering their nose, making it kind of useless.
