Almost 64 yr old metastatic lung cancer patient, front facing healthcare worker.
shot # 1, a sore arm, felt vaguely unwell but went to work, slight nausea & dizzyness but went to bed early felt fine the next day
shot # 2 I had an immunotherapy infusion on Friday & got the second vaccine dose on Monday morning, by nightfall I was shivering like mad, my muscles hurt, Tuesday it was worse felt like flu on steroid, even my bones hurt, low grade fever, Husband was worried, said my complexion had gone totally gray, I chugged water & stayed in bed most of the day, Today I feel somewhat better,I ate a light meal, slept a lot.
My takeaway? These side effects were signs of an immune system strongly doing it’s job, something to celebrate. If you are offered the vaccine take it, don’t wait & see! My side effects? Not pleasant but well worth it to have a 95% chance of not dying of Covid.
