I don't think we should have a new thread every time Trump has a weird handshake, or says something boarish to a foreign head of state's wife, or babbles incoherently. Instead, we can put all the minor/petty/trivial/amusing Trump stuff in this thread.

I'll start it off with what could well be the actual stupidest thing that Trump has ever said. I realize that is a tall order, but here it is: Trump said that he wants the border wall to be "transparent" because evidently, Mexican drug dealers throw heavy sacks of drugs over these barriers, and if people on our side can't see through the wall, we won't know when to move out of the way to avoid getting hit on the head by these heavy sacks of drugs. Yes, he actually said this to reporters on Air Force One. I checked to make sure it wasn't fake news or Onion style parody. Nope.

Trump went on to say that the wall needs one thing: transparency. “You have to be able to see through it,” he explained. “In other words, if you can’t see through that wall—so it could be a steel wall with openings, but you have to have openings because you have to see what’s on the other side of the wall.”

The wall needs to be see-through, the president continued, because drug dealers may otherwise throw large bags of drugs over the wall to the other side, and hit innocent passers-by. “As horrible as it sounds, when they throw the large sacks of drugs over, and if you have people on the other side of the wall, you don’t see them—they hit you on the head with 60 pounds of stuff? It’s over,” he added. “As crazy as that sounds, you need transparency through that wall. But we have some incredible designs

I don't see why they can make a protective cover of solar cells people can stand under to protect them from falling drugs. One of my biggest fears though is people on one side of a wall throwing bags of money to the other side. I have never been a fan of untargeted charity.

I also motion that mods sticky this thread. All the bad hair days and tennis ass and dumb quotes and petty tweet discussions and wall jokes belong here. The real tragedy of what he and his cronies are doing to America will be discussed elsewhere.

The thread doesn't seem to have taken, however, since I can see we already have a separate thread about the transparent wall issue.
 
I agree. It's important to isolate the BS so we can focus on the real actions Trump is taking. The attention and outrage should be focused there as opposed to his clownish behavior.
 
Kindy funny how Macron's wife looks more age appropriate for Trump, and Melania looks better with Macron. I guess that happens when you marry your HS teacher.
