In general, do stores such as buy.com and staples.com charge you the difference if you order items with a coupon, end up returning it, keep the other items, and no longer meet the minimum purchase to use the coupon?
Buy.com was generous and allowed me to keep the coupon after I returned an item. I'm not sure what staples policy is. Does anybody care to enlighten me?
