Coupon Question!

For an online retailer like staples; what can they do if a customer so happens to find and use a coupon that is not meant for him. I know they have a right to cancel the order, but what if the order goes through and the product ships. Can and do they have the right of charging you the full amount after you have received the product?

Staples has a "Coupon Retrieval Task Force," or CRTF. They actually come to your house, attack you, take advantage of your dog, steal your underwear, and pee on the toilet seats.

Actually, they don't do anything.

haha, i am so guilty of the crime i actually believed you for a second. but then i finished reading your sentence and i realized you were being sarcastic. they haven't done anything yet, but the question i am asking is could they? they have actually cancelled a few orders i have made, called me twice to tell me what i ordered was out of stock (it was not), but they have also delivered lots of stuff that i have ordered 😉

i have used about $300 worth of coupons and $400-500 of PMing at Staples and have never had a problem. I have also been getting pepsi for 5 cents a can(thank god for michigan's 10 cent deposit!) for the last 100 case or so from Office Depot. They dont care.

<< but have you used a coupon that allowed you to get lcd's for $5 each? now thats the question. >>

I think I just found my new best friend! 🙂

hmmm... cant say i have.

What's with the recent rash of "coupon's not intended for me" threads? We had one the other week too. Where do you people find these from?

From the hundreds of Hot Deals websites out there, just do a Google.com search for 'coupon code' and you'll find 'em.

Most importantly, Staples is major suck.
