I was able to add the coupon to a hard drive no problem. I can't add it to the RAM now since it is out of stock in my local stores and warehouse..

So the coupon seems to still be good for Technology right now. Stock does seems low.

Coupon did also work last night no the RAM, since I did purchase it.

Thanks Rasputinj, Just got in on this deal. They were out on-line But the CSR checked my local (25 miles away) store for availability and they had three left. I'm just grabbing one (on hold) at the store. Added the Paper Clips and used the
$20 off $100. Thanks so much.... BTW (OD #948) Napa, CA for anyone close by.

Yes, that's what Kingston 2700 says on the package. However, I couldn't tell you why it isn't dual-channel, or what % performance difference this actually makes.

OD rebates have always had a quick turn around for me. I have 2 sticks of 256MB PC2700 which I got for FAR from OM, but this is 512MB and a really good deal for $35 ea. Well, I bought the WD $20 HDD from OM, the Maxtor 120GB $35 HDD from OD, and the Khypermedia DVD Drive all within the past three days do I really need to go further into debt?

The rebates are good and they are easy. They give you a nice packing slip that you can easily photocopy. Unlike Officemax's pathetic packing slips that you can barely make out and which come up illegible half the time. No goofy long receipts to copy either like when you buy something in-store at Circuit City, Best Buy or CompUSA. Can they make the receipts any longer? It makes things difficult when you only have a sheet feed copier.

The rebates are also easier to find and usually only go to a couple of different locations. Officemax has rebates going all over the country. I'm not talking about manufacturer's rebates either. They seem to use a ton of different fulfillment houses. They are pretty easy to find on OD's site too, unlike OM.

Speed wise.. I'd say that they are about average. Not slow, but not fast either. I'd say average speed and reliable.

BTW.. It was OOS for me for delivery, so I ran a search of local stores and found a couple of stores with stock. If you're in the Chicago area, The Schaumburg store, Elk Grove Village and Lombard stores are letting you add it to your cart for in-store pick up. At least when I ordered a half hour ago. I ordered from the Lombard store because I have to go down to Westmont anyway to return something at Micro Center.

Good post, but please put AR in the title (I hate having to remember that all rasputinj posts generally don't mention rebate until later...)

Thanks, got some. It was listed as OOS for my zip code, but when I went to the store they had a gob of them left. If it says out of stock for your zip you might want to call the store. I told the csr that I couldn't order it online cause of this and so they let me use the coupon code. Pretty good price for a 512mb stick.
