I have had the upgrade bug these last few weeks or months i should say and so far what i want to do is sell my HX1000 for a AX850 since its a better performing power supply and i dont need the power form the 1000. I also want to get a Corsair H60 cooler for less stress on the mobo, and so i can upgrade my ram to the new Patriot Viper Xtremes so i can have better overclocking instead of these XMS3 and then i possibly go SLI with 470s and then get a Rampage III Extreme. What do you guys think??

well i have to RMA my current classified if RMA'ing my GPU doesn't fix my in desktop screen flashing with my PCI-E and PCI gpus. So i wanted to ditch the classy since its going to be my 3rd RMA. i dont want ot have continuous problems. but if i can get a free upgrade to the Classified3. then maybe ill just stick with it

You're proposing spending a bunch of money on nothing. Don't do it. Just RMA the broken parts.

not even get a H60 to get better memory??

I do really want to get real custom water cooling though. what about getting another 470 for sli

Overclocking memory should not be the end in and of itself. It's only a means to get a higher CPU clock. With the ridiculous selection of memory dividers in a modern board, it's hardly necessary to push the memory at all.

I personally would not bother because GTX 470's are terrible bang for the buck right now. If you really mush upgrade something, then feel free to go for it.

id get used. i can get one on TPU for like 190 shipped. I already know for a fact im getting a fan controller and cable sleeving to redo some cabling stuff and to be able to control my San Ace H1011 fans a bit better.

I don't think you should buy anything you mentioned. Sounds like a total waste to me. Just get your parts RMA'd.

* Exactly how would water cooling ease any stress on the MB?
* You don't need water cooling upgrade memory.
* Why do you think you need to OC?

not even 460 SLI??

I would love to have some GTX560Ti Sli though

Actually, I wouldn't SLI or Crossfire anything, but I would especially advise against 4xx SLI because that series of cards was known to be powerhungry. I have a 470, and for now it handles everything dandy. If I needed an upgrade I'd just buy a new and better single card. At the time I bought my system, I was even dumb enough to buy an SLI motherboard, but I'm not dumb enough to buy into the extremely inefficient dual card config.

The only cards I would ever SLI are those that cannot be beaten by a single card, namely, GTX 480, GTX 570, GTX 580, GTX 590. Same goes for CFX, 6950, 6970, 5970, 6990. It's simply not worth the glitches and power consumption to double up on my card.

thats the thing i hate about fermi 4 series cards is that they use to much power for how fast they are. its power wasted
