Couple questions for iPad owners

A couple of questions for you Ipad owners; particularly the iPad2.

1) How well does the skyfire browser deal with flash content? I like to listen to a lot of music off of bandcamp.com as well as watch videos on gametrailers. Does the skyfire browser do a decent enough job with flash to make these 2 sites usable?

2) How do IM clients work on the iPad? I know the iPad doesn't have "true' multitasking, so do you need to leave IM clients open in order to send/receive messages? Or do they run as a background process so that you can receive notifications even when the application isn't on screen?

Thanks!

To answer your 2nd question, IM applications have push notifications. So what that means as long as you're signed on and you close the app or go somewhere else you'll still get IMs. Honestly, that's why I feel apple's multitasking is a much more elegant solution.

Skyfire works, you can find some you tube videos of it.

Honestly, I really don't miss Flash that much, more and more content is iOS compatible every day.

I found out Redtub@ is iPad friendly the other day, and looks great

Just tried bandcamp and gametrailers, both worked on iPad. Music kept playing for bandcamp when I went to other bowser windows. As for im clients, they do push but I'm not really a fan of them right now. iOS 5 should clear that gripe up.

I use IM+ on my iPad and it works well. It even makes noise if your iPad is off and the client is connected.

I don't miss flash at all and it's getting less and less of an issue everyday as webpages are recoded to be iOS friendly. Don't miss it on the ipad and have it turned off on my EVO, I couldn't tell you the last time I looked at something in flash. Most of the time I do is because I'm to lazy to open the youtube app and just watch the video embedded in whatever page I'm on.
