Couple questions about Youtube and Gmail

These are both kind of odd q's but if you have an answer I'd appreciate it.

First, on a Youtube account, how can you change the "Last Visit Date" to display the same date as you originally signed up? In other words, the account info reads:

Joined: June 3, 2005
Last Visit: June 3, 2005

However, this was recently changed, it used to read: Last Visit: 2 weeks ago...

The person purposely changed it to display that... however, I can't figure out how... anyone know?

Second, if you gave someone your Gmail address and password, how could they login and receive your mail without showing up on the Last Account Activity box?

Could they have installed some kind of software that automatically forwards emails?

Any other possibilities?

Someone I know (but haven't had a chance to ask how) managed to do both of these things ...

For the Gmail, if they used a third party mail client(Thunderbird, Evolution...), that might not trigger account activity logging, but I don't know that for sure.

Edit:
I just checked, and it looks like 3rd party clients trigger account logging.

The youtube 'last-visit' date is the last login date.

If you sign in, and check the 'remember me' box, so you stay permanently logged in, the 'last-visit' date will stay at the date you first entered the username/password.

Great thanks. Is that retroactive also? (Meaning that if you check that box it will revert to showing your last login as your original join date?)

I don't think so. I think all the box does is have the site 'remember' your login, so your login-date never gets updated (unless you login again from a different computer, or you log out).

However, who knows what bugs the system has?

as for gmail... could they have set forwarding to "on" to another email address? this may not trigger the activity date.
