A 200k house *just* north of atlanta, in a very good area.. how much a month are we looking at if you were to buy one (per month), and how much to rent (per month)?

here's some more info:

my friend's dad is considering buying a 200k house in the area and letting his son and two other friends (me as one of them) "rent" it from him.

couple things I found out.. is the loan is actually in my "friends" name (I think it has to do with getting a low low interest rate loan or something) and he's saying that a house like that rents for $2000/month..

I don't know what taxes are like, but figuring 10k down, and 5.5 percent interest over 30 years, with 4k in taxes, you are looking at about 1600 per month to buy.

Taxes would probably be closer to 2k.
