Country's Full - Trump Slams Door on Refugees

Standing on an Ikea(Swedish) podium, behind bullet proof Saint Gobain Glass(French), smiling at a 4K Sony(Japanese) video camera, speaking into a Dolby Sennheiser(German) microphone, with vigorous hand gestures giving a glimpse of a Rolex(Swiss) under the cuff, Trump Patriotically said "Buy American, Hire American, Stop Immigrants". standing besides a Slovenian wife.

I just got this as a whatsapp forward in India. Not really funny but something to be looked at and considered.

That isn't what she said. I quoted the speech. " Open trade AND Open borders " You don't understand how the word "and" is used in a sentence.

She and Podesta backed off of it later after it was pointed out.

I never said that I thought it was that way.

Nope, here is the full quote:

My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders, some time in the future with energy that is as green and sustainable as we can get it, powering growth and opportunity for every person in the hemisphere.”

She's was clearly talking about energy, liar.

But it sends a message - fix the problems at your own home so you can stay there. You just cant run away from the issues that affect your homeland. Stay and fix them one way or another.

Yes, it sure does send a message: Iraqis, our number one ally against ISIS, are no longer our friends.

Try to explain to me how the US is supposed to work closely with Iraqi commanders and their soldiers in completing the operation in Mosul (western Mosul looks to be a long and hard-fought slog) and the rest of Iraq if US commanders can no longer honor their promises of US transit, asylum, and benefits to the families of those soldiers in Iraq looking to relocate to the US. To Iraqi officials that expect the same?

Please explain to me how Trump plans to fulfill his "destroy ISIS" promise while he is honoring and loudly advertising their central message via Executive Order?

How many terrorist responses to this order will it take before you realize how misguided you and King Orange are?

I watched a piece on 60 minutes about how this ban is affecting legal immigration and I have some serious doubts about the effectiveness of this program. There are people coming into our country who do not have any marketable skills and they are being placed in cities with seemingly very little to no support structure. They are instantly alienated against our culture and very few outreach programs are available to help them bridge the gap between what they know and what they need to know.

We need better placement programs for them once they arrive and they most definitely need a better job support network to help them begin life anew without much if any delay to help them assimilate into our culture. Yes they need to assimilate which is an immigration law requirement yet I find that many refuse to do so holding onto their old cultures which just adds to their difficulties here. Wanting to help people and actually being able to provide the necessities for them are two different things and our current system seems to be coming up short in this regard.

We need to stop bombing their countries out and destroying their infrastructure which is creating this mess in the first place. Bringing people in who've been wronged by us and then leaving them isolated in our communities will foster resentment and this current program seemingly needs a revamp.

I don't like the ban, and how they went about it. I am curious as to what they think will be different now from three months from now? Why 3 months, what do they hope to accomplish in that time? The problem with trying to vet refugees is that it is not like they have a database from their country they can properly check. Most don't have ID's, they can't check history of people. They get asked a series of questions and go from there. Immigrants is one thing that makes this country go great. I have no problems helping countries like this with people who need help. I also look at our own people and there are millions who could use the help too. Refugees are given a place to stay, food, and money. We have homeless and children literally starving that need help too. Its certainly a tough obstacle to tackle with no real good answers. I don't think the ban is it though.

I also don't like how some media is reporting is, calling it an "immigrant ban" or "muslim ban". It is neither of these things, they need to stick to facts and stop with sensationalized titles. You can stick to facts and make a case for it being a terrible thing.

Obviously you do not understand English.

She was talking about Open Trade and Open Borders and Green Energy powering growth and opportunity for every person in the hemisphere.

English embrace it.

I'm still intensely curious to hear the thinking behind a document that mentions 9/11 specifically several times but doesn't restrict visits/immigration from the countries the hijackers were from but does other countries in the region.

Obama used his voodoo mind control to prevent Trump from including those countries.

It's a concession to the Democrats who only want open borders.

Clearly Clinton's fault, like Benghazi and emails.

Agreed save for bolded bit. Guiliani himself said it was a 'Muslim ban' yet disguised in a way that didnt oppose the Constitution - sort of like a loophole.

Don't make excuses for these xenophobic idiots that reside in this admin - it should be very well known by now that they are as stupid, incompetent and racist as they were prior to being elected.

English, learn it, dumb ass.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_market

A common market is usually referred to as the first stage towards the creation of a single market. It usually is built upon a free trade area with relatively free movement of capital and of services, but not so advanced in reduction of the rest of the trade barriers.

Sennheiser is a private company. Dolby doesn't own Sennheiser.

Just a heads up that understanding these types of speeches requires mental wherewithal you've never need been accused of possessing.

Is English a second language for you? Or third as you obvious lack comprehension.

First I didn't see where she mentioned "Single Market, Common Market or Unified Market". You got a quote on that from her original speech? And even your own link says it opens the borders for a single market.

I noticed your cherry picking parts of a whole. Read the entire subject from your link:

A single market is a type of trade bloc in which most trade barriers have been removed (for goods) with some common policies on product regulation, and freedom of movement of the factors of production (capital and labour) and of enterprise and services. The goal is that the movement of capital, labour, goods, and services between the members is as easy as within them.[1] The physical (borders), technical (standards) and fiscal (taxes) barriers among the member states are removed to the maximum extent possible. These barriers obstruct the freedom of movement of the four factors of production.

A common market is usually referred to as the first stage towards the creation of a single market. It usually is built upon a free trade area with relatively free movement of capital and of services, but not so advanced in reduction of the rest of the trade barriers.

A unified market is the last stage and ultimate goal of a single market. It requires the total free movement of goods, services (including financial services), capital and people without regard to national boundaries.

A centrist inclined to promise everyone a bit of everything saying good things about single market to a bank in brazil-- I know, real tough for your sorts to figure out.

You should tell that to Guiliani, who let the cat out of the bag: King Cheeto wanted a muslim ban, specifically, and directly asked Giuliani how to make that "legally" possible. LoL--I don't if this guy is trying to sabotage his new BFF or what, but Rudy is terrible at politicking during the 99.999999999999997% of the time that the day in history is not 9/11/2001. 😀

Agree with the rest, though. One of the many problems with this order is that refugees already undergo months or more of screening before they can exit any US airport. Much of that screening happens overseas, in detention. It is really without argument that this order does not address potential terrorists as there is no real precedent for these countries harboring asylum-seeking terrorists in the US. Sure it can eventually happen, but as it stands this probably doesn't hold up to legal scrutiny.

The Donald excludes actual terrorist-producing countries because, shockingly, he has goodly business interests with these people.

Obama used his voodoo mind control to prevent Trump from including those countries.

Hillary, too. Don't forget that this ban never would have happened if the Dems didn't elect Hillary as their candidate.

LOL--I can't wait to see this argument coming from McConnell.

All the hysteria and whining and sniveling from the lefty snowflakes is absolutely priceless. It's absolutely shocking to see a president actually do the things he promised to do during his campaign.

Those whining about not including countries like Saudi Arabia etc in the list, keep in mind that this was just a starting point. The policy clearly sets the state for adding more to the bad list if they don't provide sufficient information needed to do thorough vetting.

So far this presidency is looking great.

Now back to your sniveling and whining, lol

Who gives a shit if he promised it. That doesn't make it right. Maybe that's why a full 54% of the people who voted didn't vote for him.

You dumbass. You are the one embracing this crap because of how scared you are of "others" and how they are going to ruin your life (or already have), or somehow end it.

Oh, snowflake, it was a mirror you were looking at the whole time. Notice your whole post is whining?

Who gives a sh*t if he promised it.

I do. A politician saying he's going to do something and then actually doing it is refreshing. It's a good thing, we should demand it from all politicians.

That doesn't make it right.

Nope, the fact that he's doing what he promised to do doesn't make it right. It just means he's doing exactly what those who elected him wanted him to do. Just because a lot of lefty idiots think it's wrong doesn't make it wrong. He's doing the right things for the country, even if he has to drag a bunch of tantrum throwing snowflakes along.

Maybe that's why a full 54% of the people who voted didn't vote for him.

It's almost like you think people should care about the popular vote.
