If it is real country then not a problem, if it is the current pop crap that passes for country...even that over rap but it would be painful.

Definately rap. I would rather drive a nail slowly into my brain than listen to whiney a$s country music.

When I was a teenager I likely would have chosen rap. But now I just can't stand most rap, everytime I turn on MTV I just get disgusted.
I don't even know any country stuff other than Willie Nelson but I figure singing and ACTUALLY PLAYING A FVCKING MUSICAL INSTRUMENT wins hands down.

Country is too depressing for me
Rap to me is more wide ranging. That an I can relate to alot of the songs stories. Grew up in the hood, sold drugs, dropped out of H.S., been to jail several times, police harassment, gang affiliation, family members in prison, friends shot and killed, blah blah blah..... Glad my life has changed so much

Rap isn't that easy to produce. Dr. Dre makes some really good beats. Hell, I can listen to alot of his instumentals without any voiceovers all day long.

I think it's easier to make beats on a computer/synth/whatever than to actually play an instrument. Not to imply that it takes no talent to produce rap beats, it's just that I have more respect for 'live' musicians. Plus so much of the mainstream rap is just so fake and repetitive that I have no desire to hear it. To me it's in the same league as Britney Spears/Ashlee Simpson.
