There have to be some here, I imagine. I can't be the ony hick with an internet connection in my trailer, can I?

I know this is going to bring me a lot of flak from the music snobs here who frown upon such childish music such as country and western, but I'm a small town and grew up listening to oldies and country and I am currently looking for some new stuff to check out. The nice weather lately has lent itself to cruising around town with the windows down and the radio loud, and lately my tastes have been running towards faster, feel-good songs like Alan Jackson - Chattahoochie, Clint Black - Summer's Comin, Dierks Bentley - What Was I Thinking and Alabama - Reckless. I like old and new country both.

So I'd like to hear some new stuff that works well for cruising around and enjoying the sun. Thanks!

it's very rare that a person who liked country music can find their way to a tech website; actually it would be impressive if they could find anything but pr0n.

Many if not most at ATOT seem to hate white ppl, country/folk music and Christians.

These same liers will then state how they embrace diversity *sigh*, they are such superior beings.

I like country music, but haven't really been following the artists recently. I Suppose I could just look under the country genre in iTunes though.

I like much of the "old country", but most of the stuff cranked out lately is just rock & roll with a "twang". Some of the country greats, like Hank Williams Sr., Bocephus, Willie, Waylon, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Ernest Tubb are still in my listening lists...and I'm an old rock & roller...

odd. i not only like country music but owned a successful computer store and ran a computer center for years. heck i made enough to be able to retire at 30.

Nickel Creek ... more like bluegrass...but oh well...

And other then that all i have are Garth Brooks albums...

Can't say I like country, and while I enjoy good naturedly ribbing people who like it, that doesn't mean it sucks or anything, just that I don't like it. I do like southern rock, which many would consider country, so I guess it depends on classification even at that.

Aw, poor victimized you!

I listen to a large variety of music, but the primary bulk of my collection is country. Although most of what's out there isn't worth listening to, including a lot of current country singles, which pains me to say.

Rascal Flatts' Fast Cars and Freedom is a decent crusing song. I also liked their cover of Life is a Highway from Disney's Cars movie.

Actually, country music fans are second in education only to those who appreciate classical music.

I'm not a big country music fan but it's not all bad. I tend to like the depressing stuff actually but I rarely listen to it and couldn't really name a single country music song off the top of my head.

I just hate Christians...well, I don't actually hate them...Just their intolerant rhetoric and agenda for the rest of us.

I do like white people though...some of them anyway. I also like some gays, some blacks, some people who like country music. What was your point again? 😛

My wife's in love with this album: Big & Rich - Comin' To Your City

Edit: She also recommended this single: Brice Long - It's Only Monday

So much of the popular "country" of the last ten years has been crossover rock, and vice versa.
I can listen to it all, so long as it does not have idiotic lyrics about tequila and clothes falling off.😛
