What are the best bots for cs?

They're the only ones i can think of at the moment - probably cos they're the best

i usually use POD, but they have not been updated for ages

Not sure which is most dated/often updated.

I haven't really used any bots on CS for a good couple of years, and these two were the ones fighting it out then for top spot, so draw from that what you will!

The counterstrike (retail) and The counterstrike (mod-downloadable)

No difference in terms of features etc.

The Mod version, you will need Half-Life installed to use. The Retail version doesn't require you to have Half-Life installed, only CS.

It was a way to sucker people into buying just CS. If you bought HL, you could play all of the mods and still get CS for free.

Yep, and still THE most popular game for internet play with about 30,000 players at any given point in time.
When half-life was only a few months old and CS was new, there were only about 3,000 players at any given point in time.
My server just went up for today, and guess what, already full with regulars (my international group of CS acquantances).

Anxiously awaiting the public release of CS1.6 and Condition Zero singleplayer.
