U.S. Snipers killed 17 Doctors????? How can the Nationality of a Sniper be identified at a distance without scopes or binoculars? The United States forces cannot I.D. snipers shooting at them until we either kill them, or they surrender. We are to beleive that a civilian be shot at takes the time to look for who is shooting at them before running inside? Let me guess, they yelled out (in Arabic of course) that they were U.S. snipers! Also, do Iraqi civilian doctors know one 7.62 mm slug from the next?? I doubt it......

U.S. forces do not intentionally target a protected sites unless that target is being used for purposes other than originally intended, and even then, it must pose a serious threat to U.S. forces. Mosques, Hospitals, and schools are favorite hideouts of the insurgents. It is well documented. I guess that the eneny can kill whomever they wish (to include children at a bus stop), but our troops should lay down and die before entering a hospital or a school?

All that I am saying is that I don't beleive any of the hype from obviously questionalble sources.

I dont think you read the article OR have seen the news.

The report says Dr al-Muhannadi told of the death of the 17 doctors. Of course you wouldnt like to believe her. After all, she's an Iraqi, so she must be a terrorist. I am also sure that the US forces were unable to identify Dr al-Muhannadi as a doctor while she was delivering a baby/

As for your last paragraph, keep believing that.

If US snipers were responsible, the good doctor would likely never know it. Unless she somehow managed to figure out where they were shooting from and stroll the likely several hundred yards over there and ask them.

Of course the most believable source of information for you is the one that made the claims of WMD and Al-Qaeda links - our government.

Nice attempt to dodge. I made no reference to anything the US government has said.

I was pointing out that it wold be very difficult for the doctor to conclusively determine that US snipers were to blame.

Then you perhaps didnt read the above quote. She confirmed that the snipers shot the doctors. I agree that it is difficult, but not impossible. She may have been hiding when the snipers shot, and then saw them when they came out after the shooting.

I love how people continue to toss around the 100,000 dead figure even after they have been shown it was based on a door to door survey.....

Snipers do not shoot at ranges close enough to be identified. That would be exposing themselves to counterfire.

Her idea of a sniper is some-one that was not directly in front of her when a weapon was fired.

Also, even authorities have a tendancy to inflate numbers for their own purposes.

The Palestinians did that then Israel went into Jenen.

Multi-thousounds were reported executed/killed.

Ended up that the actual total was only a few dozen; most were confirmed as active militants.

They don't do that as it is an excellent way to get killed.

Who cares if some american soldiers kills an unarmed terrorist? If he is an enemy and we are basically at war with them and they are at war with us, and they have already attacked us, then they are enemy soldiers and do not need any protection. They deserve to be shot dead unless they surrender.

I will give you a little background on military law. They use to ask us this question while I was in the Army "If you come upon an enemy soldier that is cleaning their weapon, are you allowed to shoot them?" Well if you said no, then you answered the question wrong. Dont let peace-time rules interfere with wartime rules.

Enemy soldiers deserve to be shot unless they surrender.

in light of the above post...

who cares if 1200 US soldiers in this illegal war and terrorist action against Iraq? they are enemies occupying a soveriegn land. they deserve to be shot dead unless they surrender... blah blah blah.

*disclaimer: the above statements are meant to be a retort only. I do not subscribe to either of the views above.

But remember, if Saddam was still in power, they wouldn't be enjoying these freedoms. ;)

Its good to see the members of the Reynolds Wrap Brigade gravitating toward each other. That'll make it all the more easier when the time comes. Oops! Pretend you didn't hear that. I wouldn't want to let the cat out of the bag on here.

Did you know that scientests in Helsinki just recently discovered new forms of electrical energy that have the ability to tunnel through metallic objects up to 6 meters in thickness?
