Warranty isnt a big thing for me(I dont keep a pc for 5 years, and by 2011, with the speed at which hdd capacities are growing, we will probably have 10-15krpm 3tb perpendicualr hdds so why would i keep my 160gig clunker anyway?) but quietness and performace are. The samsungs I have are all quieter than the Seagates(espicalyl the 7200.9) and they performa similarly, withing precentages of each other and sometimes my samsungs wil lbe faster.
