A friend installed CS:Source. It was fine when he ran the game in non-windowed mode. Then he changed it. And on the windowed screen of his game it wouldnt load, all you could see is a messed up image of his desktop (like when programs freeze) He has a bad video card (16 mb) but cs ran good with him on full screen. How can he change it back if he cant get into the game? PLS HELP 🙁

I dont think you can run CS:S with a 16mb card.

If he ran CS Retail... that's one thing. But CS:S is based on the HL2 engine I believe.

yes he did. we even played online with him. then he made it in windowed mode. and his game fked up. now he is sure that is what caused it. any ideas on how he can change it back? maybe in some ini file you can point me out to?

Go to the steam play games menu, right click on CS:S, Go to properties, launch options, and clear that line.

Do the same thing to the CS:S shortcut then, make sure there is no like -windowed or the like after the path to the game.

🙁 nothin worked. i am lookin around INI files. i found one in /resource/ game UI txt but all it was is the words that it says on the game settings. like changing the letters and words in a setting. u cant change the setting itself. isnt there any =true or whatever somewhere?

i dont know, i have a GeForce 2, my friend has a 16mb card. He has all settings on low. He says it runs fine. btw: I'm getting a GeForce 6600 GT, and 1 gig of ram. too bad i have an Athlon XP 1.1 ghz and only 256mb of ram so far 🙁
