These achievements will in no way hinder your gameplay so no one really has anything to bitch about. I for one am glad to see CS:S updated.

That's really easy to do if you play on a server with the mod that allows you to diffuse by pulling one of four wires. Bomb diffusing happens instantly that way.

Could have edited my last post, but this is a different subject.

I can no longer join most of my favorite servers for some reason. The load bar starts and then disappears. I'm able to join some servers, though.. not sure what the limiting factor is.
 
I have been playing most of the night. Looks like the achievements and the kill death ratio stuff has brought out the hackers in full force. I'm talking blatant ones.

Indeed, they are, apparently enough so that Valve thought it would be nice to take the time to update it. I for one honestly don't understand the "fun" there could possibly be behind watching someone else playing while waiting until the next round starts. If the spawning system was different I might try it again, but then if the spawning system would be different it wouldn't be Counter-Strike anymore, right? It'd turn C-S into "another" Day of Defeat or Team Fortress. So that means it won't ever happen, which in turns means I will never bother with it, it's just boring.

yes, the reason being it's still relatively fun and doesn't need expensive hardware. as for the hackers, blech is all i can say. i'm glad the servers i frequent have pretty good admin exposure and tend to get rid of the cheats fairly quickly.
 
Somebody wanted me to try out gungame, but all the servers are fucked. Damn this update, damnit!

yeah, gun games are broken for now. I heard they had some during the beta, so I guess its just a waiting game. gun game is all I play pretty much.

I fixed my choppyness issue though. was playing with the advanced graphics options, randomly changed a few things, changed back to how I had them, and it was suddenly working fine. stupid shit
