Counter Strike running in 60hz

Can't get my refresh rate in the original counter strike above 60hz. I'm guessing it won't go above 60hz in the original counterstrike, as i've tried everything i can think of. Don't suggest RefreshForce, it doesn't work, at least not with my monitor or video card. I don't have this problem in any other games, in other games my refresh rate is how it should be (100+)

just curious, do you use opengl or directx counterstrike?

There are more utilities than just RefreshForce. Google around a bit more; they're worth a shot, at least.

Did you install drivers for your monitor?

My monitor drivers are horrible, very very horrible, so that' probably part of the problem.

I can get CS to run at 100hz most of the time now though, but sometimes it starts up in 86hz...huh? I dont understand that. I have to restart when that happens and then it works fine next time.

why not just buy HL2 and play CS:S if you dont have it?

there's probably a command you can add the the CS program that forces it into a certain refresh rate

I have CS:Source, but i got tired of waiting for them to fix the hitboxes, plus it's a tough game to run unless you really have one of the best systems available.
