Counter-Strike Refresh Rate Question

Is there any way I can change the refresh rate of Counter-Strike from 60Hz to 85Hz?

There are others I think. I used Refreshforce with my old Geforce 3 for a long time and it worked fine. When I got a Radeon 9800 it stopped working. I tried a few and the last one I tried was Powerstrip which worked and I've been using it ever since.

yea use one of them. you should be able to lock it off. I use tweakui for my ati which locks the refresh rate to 85 yet i do get constant 100 in game

You can set the refresh rate in ATI control panel for both OpenGL and D3D so no 3rd party software is needed,go to display tab and in there click on the monitor button then you`ll see it.

These options do not work. Is there any other way, can I do it in the game itself.

For Nvidia cards you can use
NVRefreshTool .

you need that too (in the console) just in case you don't...

finally NVrefresh worked, thanx. So did the fps_max 100, thanx. Unfortunately I'm gonna need a little more than a TNT2 M64 to get past 42fps min. Thanks guys.
