What is the point of the kevlar and helmet? How much does it save your life once you begin to get shot?

When I buy primary ammo and secondary ammo how much ammo is that?

The maximum amount you can buy. Varies by gun.

Aug is not the best... either the AK-47 or the M4A1 are the most effective if you have good aim. Especially the AK-47, it's easy to spray though.

Just play how you wanna play...it's not the equipment that makes the CS player...it's learning to aim =p I've run around with a glock and killed 2-3 players who had on kevlar and had colts just because I glocked them in the head before they could react. Eh...

AK-47/M4A1 depending on your team
Always buy kevlar and helmet, if you do not have enough for kevhelm + m4/ak, don't buy anything and wait until next round
you should only buy 2 clips at maximum so you have 30 in the gun and 60 in reserve

1) I prefer M4 - better control than AK. I stay away from the SG-552 and the Aug, as they just cost more, for inferior performance. You shouldn't need the scope.
2) With a helmet, you can take around 5 shots in the head from an MP5, whereas without, one or two and you're gone. Armor only covers torso, though, but when you get hit there, a certain portion of the damage is taken from your Armor Points, and not from your Hit Points
3) Filling up on primary ammo is usually advised, except for sniper rifles and the M249 (PARA). Secondary ammo almost never needs a fillup.
