Counter strike problem with mouse

I am having serious mouse problems with my counter-strike right now. Whenever I play I get this wierd problem with the mouse not synching with my movements. For example whenever I move forward and I cannot use my mouse to turn. I can only turn the mouse when I am not moving in counterstrike. I have an epox 8kha+ and using a ati radeon 64 ddr running winxp. I have the latest driver from ati for xp, and I have downloaded to opengl patch from the counterstrike site. I have tried it in directX and opengl at various resolutions and both has the same problem so I am dumbfounded. Please help because I really need my cs. Also one last thing I have always had this problem on this comp (not my second comp) since I built this comp 2 weeks ago. Thanks for your help
