Yet another reason why you shouldn't download hacks and cheats for Counter Strike. You can't trust some people out there!

That pic is of a [JAPS] clan member saying he planted a trojan in the cheats that he has on his web site and that he also infected his own clan members. [JAPS] btw is a cheating clan.

Pretty damn sad if you ask me.

This is great news for us legit players. Now spread a rumor that all hacks are trojans and that should solve everything. 😉
 
I remember the first couple of days when 1.3 came out. All of a sudden a bunch of people who were L337 before had become regular Joes, even some respected clan members. It makes you think. And what I think is that the hitbox changes weren't that big a deal and that the stupid hackers were getting weeded out. Too bad that all went to hell when they hacked their way around everything again.
 
He's probably just trying to make people he's a r33t h4x0r.

I don't really care though, I hate cheaters. 😛

Why would the virus scanner detect anything? The guy said he put in a backdoor trojan into the program, it's not like he's loaded a well-known worm that installs to the windows directory every time or something.

Nowdays Counter-strike/Halflife hook source code is very freely availible on the gpl license following Vasily Pupkins release of Client-bot for halflife. Anyone can download that and make a cheat out of it, or mite was well download the ogc, hlh, viperg, etc source code. Ive been playin cs since 1.0 came out and its pretty fun, but i did have my experimentation with cheats, well not using them just learning to play with the hl engine using Client-bot....But what i really hate is openly cheating people/clans such as myg0t and Japs or whatever. Grrr...

Same here, now I only play it at LANs where I know no one is cheating.

The speed cheat was the end of it for me. As soon as people started using that and it was rife, I stopped.
 
I've got it, good game completed, just not ventured into multiplayer yet. 56k puts rest to that most of the time!

Wolfenstein? From what I've heard it's playable on 56k as long as you don't venture on big servers. Smaller ones (<32 players) shouldn't give too much problems.

Personally I prefer the >32 servers though, especially the 54 and 64 player servers.
