When it gets to the point that it is no longer fun to play, I'd say yes, it sucks that it's too realistic.

hehe. im down to about ~160 min.. if it weren't for the fact im downloading something else right now, id be downloading it from adamduritz... thanks for hosting it btw..
 
hmm.. k i installed it and it works fine and everything but I seem to be having a problem with it...
when im playing, like if im strafing left or right, or shooting then let go.. sometimes I will just keep on moving left or right or shooting.. almost like a lag except that im playing on servers that give me about a 20 or 30 ping, so it cant be lag.... i would think its a hardware issue, but i sure hope not...

here's my setup
PIII 1.0Ghz
512MB RAM
Geforce2 GTS/Pro
DSL 1500/256


hmm.. i think thats all you guys need... any help or suggestions appreciated.... thanks

im uploading it right now to my georgia tech web space.. i remember them telling me we had like 20mb or something, but we'll see, also i cant promise itll be fast....
I'm willing to upload to somebody else's faster better server if they want.. pm me and ill upload it...
edit: ill upload it only if they're willing to host it for others to download...

oh yea, CS is ultra realistic now. hell i might even be able to kill someone with the glock

all you people comparing this to previous releases need to step back and really look at it. all the other changes were ultimatly minor. o ok the AWP doesnt ALWAYS kill in 1 hit anymore... that was prolly the biggest thing and it still kills in 1 hit alot. but now with 1.4 they completely murdered jumping and jacked up the entire game, there is a big difference. CS is NOT a realistic game, all you people trying to say it is realistic must be so out of touch with reality from sitting in front of your computer so long because im sorry but thats not how it works in the real life.

what's so good about it? I've never played it, but I'm a huge CS fan.

i like how cle0f and goose haven't updated the page since january, that's some dedication. As a player since beta 1, everything past version 1 was pretty much crap, and everyone complained about it. In addition, it seems as if all the n00bs and lamers and cheaters came out of the woodworks, and ever since 1.3, it doesn't matter if any admins have proof or not, if you do well in a game, you get k/b'ed for "cheating", etc, etc. These were all pretty good reason to stop playing, IMO.
 
urban terror has come a LONG way from "Way back when"... beta 25 is awesome and 0wns the old-and-decrepid cheater-filled CS

I'm getting the same thing. There's like a 1-2 second delay between when I move the mouse and the action takes place on-screen. And this is with sub-100 pings as well. This game is becoming unplayable. :|

I have a T-Bird 1.4, GeForce 3, and 512MB RAM... what's up?

Anybody else experiencing these weird lags? I don't even want to finish my downloads if it is going to be all crappy and slow. My system is similar to the one listed above and if my game gets screwy I'm not gonna be happy. So is anyone else having problems?
