Counter-strike 1.4 IS good!

I'm currently standing in line @ File Planet for Half-Life 1.1.0.9

What I dont understand is: I was number 1340 of 4500 andhad 45 minutes wait. Then when I checked back, I was number 843 of 4500 with 71 minutes left until download....

P.S. Looks like someone forgot their Valium before bedtime again...

Maybe the time was recalced because they had less bandwidth than they expected and downloads were running slower
 
Why are you using Fileplanet? It blows. You should just get it off one of the mirrors, there are a ton and its not hard to get a good speed. CHeck the other CS thread for good mirror sites.
 
go to the Hardocp forums and go to the games section. Someone posted a crap load of links for the updates.
 
it's ok. one wierd thing is... now right after u jump... u run slow. i guess it's more realistic that way, but i liked the old way better.

Yes it's to be more realistic; guys jumping around nailing you w/ the scoped AWP is ridiculous. Unfortunately I think they went too far and it slows you down too much and takes some of the dynamism out of the game.
 
The game may be good, but the community, at least on pub servers, still sucks ass. It's disappointing to see all the "good" players wh*ring de_dust as a CT and then complaining because it's too easy. I barely broke 1:1 as a T (and I was leading my team!) and the top half of the CTs were 3:1 or better. Any decent servers where people don't wh*re a specific side on every map?
 
the pic in pic option while dead is sweet, as is first person view. try playing with the other hand (thru GUI), it makes it really hard!!
