COUNTER STRIKE 1.4 BETA!

not sure yet... its taking a while to DL... it's weird too because it kind of streams it so I'm not sure.
 
WOW!!! There is a WHOLE new set of options for when you die. A new overview look like they tried to release in 1.3 It is really REALLY cool lookin


They removed bunny hoping... added a few options, renamed some guns and 2 new maps

Sounds pretty cool, but I've honestly given up on CS. Seems like every server I ever get into is just a total clusterf*ck of cheaters, cheater-accusers, and foul-mouthed 12 year-olds comparing notes on each others moms. But, bump for the CSers.

If it alleviates even some of the cheating, definitely worth the dl. It's absolutely sickening how many prepubescent F*ckass cheaters populate the servers for this game.
 
yeah cheaters definitely suck. remember that video where some kid got caught cheating at a lan party and they kicked him out and wrecked his pc? hahah... that was pretty funny 😀

I think... but I'm still waiting for my steam login stuff before I find out.
 
When you open it for the first time, it downloads a bunch of files from the server... then everytime you connect to the server, it takes a while because it's streaming data (I believe). But, this isn't the way CS 1.4 final will work. Steam is just an ongoing development project for Valve which won't be implemented until later. Once the final version of 1.4 is out, it'll work like all the past versions.

I love the firstperson spec mode 🙂 And wow, there's a lot of people who bitch because of cheaters. Rightfully so, but all you have to do is find a good server/clan to play with, and the cheating issue will only pop up once in a blue moon. Random pubs are pretty sad, yeah, but I love clan matches...
 
haha I'm blind... after running the keygen again I realized they don't send you any info, they give you the key right there... oh well, I'm downloading now.
 
This beta's a lot of fun. I've been playing for weeks now and the changes are good (overall), but some of them really changes the gameplay on some maps. This newer revision has some more changes to the para and Terrorists, but its still more polished than before.
