Counter-Stirke and Auto-Aiming

There is an option under options/mouse that allows you to enable auto-aiming. This gives you a very decent advantage. Given the conditions that my score was 0 and 15, when I enable it, I killed 3 people easily before I died. I consider this a cheat. Many people they say that are hardcore and are the best, those with amazing scores, could they be using this legal cheat? Should it be cut from the game? I think so, what do you think?

I think you tricked yourself into thinking you were good 😛

But just like the above two guys said, autoaim = disabled in multiplayer

unless someone turned it back on without telling... been in a game where somehow they changed the server so everyones hit box was the size of a truck. Shoot anywhere and you kill someone..

Not True, autoaim works while playin' MM.
I play Counter Strike on LAN each day. I don't usually enable autoaim (YEs I'm very good at FPS games) but when I enable autoaim I get too much head shots !

It CAN work when playing multiplayer but I think you'd be hard pressed to find an Internet server with it enabled.

VIAN, I think you had a case of the 'placebo' (sp???) effect..give a person with illness xxx a simple vitamin tablet saying its a revolutionary new tablet which will cure their illness and and many people will say they feel better!

If it doesn't work then why does steam have the option for it. It might have been the placebo effect, but thats a hell of an effect.

It works *if it's enabled on the server*, which usually it is not. They can enable cheats, too, but again, most don't.

Simply, if autoaim is on, everyone can use autoaim, so therefore no one has any advantage over it. And like everyone says, its the servers preference to turn cheats on or off. I know cause i use to run a dedicated cs server.

rofl... ive been playing this game since beta 7.. 3 years, theres no such thing as auto aim unless u install hax.... u just got lucky on 3 kills i guess =P

been playing it since beta 4, until it was CS 1.1
and then I just quit the game for good,... was getting too stale unless I had a bunch of friends playing that game.. in the same server.

wasn't very good myself.. and the auto -aim..
neh... never works
loads of cheaters who type codes into console though.. and they are like so happy getting frags..
