Counter-Stike server gurus.. I need some simple help! Trying to get my server running....

I am trying to setup a dedicated CS LAN server, but hlds.exe doesn't seem to want to read my server.cfg file. the cfg file is in my Counter-Strike root dir. Here's my server.cfg file:

Am I missing something? Why does it not initialize thru hlds.exe, but when I create a server in CS and tell it dedicated, it works? Any ideas? Thanks

try CS.net and i think click on cs server on the left menu.

there is a lot of information in there, also there is a program that u can down load to run a cs server, called admin-mod(?) its pretty good and if u are planning to run a server u should use it since it gives more options to players.

for people who have been here a while we have Neo's but it's password protected ... sorry ... Hang here a while and you will get the password ...

yeah ive tried the Neo's server but i was never able to get in (i got the pass word from neo) or when i got in... it was empty. heh.

although it would be nice wonder how my good CS players are in AT? just wondering...

Try forcing it to read the server.cfg

c:\hlds>hlds.exe -game cstrike -dedicated +exec server.cfg

vash
