Well last night I had a dream, some kind of zombie apocalypse, and I was put in this situation, we broke into some non-zombie guy's house, I found him, had a shotgun to his head, I pulled the trigger, but my gun didn't fire, so yeah, that's my brain telling me I can't kill a person lol. But anyways, my friend killed him for me o_O. We proceeded to raid his house, he had a large cigar stash which when I began smoking one was when I woke up.

So anyways, in real life, could you pull the trigger?

I don't think the dream means you can't kill someone, I think it means you want to smoke your friend's cigar (read penis).

Face it, you have hidden gay dreams.

In a defense situation, absolutely without even thinking. That's what the training is for.

On the one hand, you can't get your shotgun to blow its wad in another man's face.

But on the other, you have no problem smoking your friend's cigar.

You face an interesting internal struggle. I do not envy you...

with all the zombie's to kill , i don't see why you " broke into some non-zombie guy's house"
are you saying you turned against society, turned into a criminal, just because of the "zombie apocalypse"?
are you assuming everyone would turn against society, turn criminal, due to a breakdown of civil order?
sounds like you don't have much of a moral base

No, we broke into a house while looking for foods, and there happened to be a very big guy there who wanted to hurt me, the original intention was food and shelter. We broke into a house that turned out to be non-zombie ;(.

I'm going to say yes. I had a dream just last week where me and some friends were riding motorcycles around with some other random people with motorcycles. We came to a stop and my bike tipped over, bringing down a random person's Harley. I was like, "Dude I'm so sorry..." and before I could even finish he shot me in the chest. I remember thinking, "Fuck you man!" and I pulled out my gun (I never carry, only shoot for recreation) and shot him once in the chest, and three times in the head on my way to the ground.

I then proceeded to lay there for 10-15 minutes telling jokes to my friends while bleeding out on the road. No one ever called for help, and I woke up before I actually "died."

I rarely dream, but that one was WEIRD, and for some reason I remembered it. All I could do was laugh when I woke up.

EDIT: I took it as "pulling the trigger" in general in real life. In your specific explanation, no, I agree with everyone else. The guy was innocent protecting his own home. In my example I was shot first so all stops were pulled, lol.

As I started reading the story, it seemed like it was going to be about killing a loved one who had started turning into a zombie.

It turns out that you're asking if we would kill an innocent man defending his own home during a zombie invasion?
wtf?
