Do it everyday.
Same.

Maybe if they ever get to $5/month with no cancellation fees and have a battery that lasts more than 8 minutes between charges. (Or at least let me forget it exists for a week and still have a bit of a useful charge left.)

I dont have a smartphone. I have AAA roadside towing. I have a gps...texting...email....i dont get it really. What do you guys do stream 2gb of netflix on a 3inch screen? who cares. Smart phones probably make you stupid when you can voice google shit you should remember anyway, like conversions or where the hell you are going
It is something of a natural progression though.
1) Rocks and drawn images: Retain information for me!
2) Symbolic language: Make it more efficient for me to retain, organize, and convey information!
3) Paper: Make it easier for me to retain and distribute large quantities of symbolic language!
4) Silicon: My god, I could store an absolutely incredible amount of porn with this. Oh, and I guess do advanced math and stuff too.

(Based on this.)

Still using a flip top phone. I laugh at you all and your cracked screens!

Same here although the smartphone has evolved into much more than a phone that games, there are tons of uses for one, I just don't like data plans and when my $35 flip-phone breaks I just buy another one.

Someone asked me "Android or iPhone?" earlier this week. He was a little confused when I said "Neither".

If I didn't have a smartphone, what would I do during awkward moments?

What am I gonna pretend to check email on so I don't have to look at people?

What happened to just staring at your feet? kids these days wtf

People who display excessive optimism should be made to ride Muni for a month.

I wouldn't set foot on the system without accurate tracking data.

Why do you think I got a motorcycle after taking the N-Judah to work every day for a year.

I probably fairly easily could. I'm not glued to it like most people are. What I can't stand is people who are glued to their phones when you're in the middle of having a conversation with them. Is this really what is has come to now?

I usually only get it out in a conversation to show something to someone, or help an explanation I'm trying to pull off.

Or to quickly check why it's blinking at me again, should it be in sight. But then I'll restrict it to a glance to ID what's happening, and maybe swipe the notification away.

Of course, if the person in front of me becomes less interesting than some mailing list item that just popped up....that's their problem :D
