No problem for me. When I was a kid my family lived on a few farms. On occassion we would butcher, clean, and pluck 50-100 chickens that we had raised. It's not the most pleasant thing to do, except the dead chickens hopping all over the place :), but the rewards are worth it.

Heck yeah I could butcher my own dinner. I grew up in South Carolina back in the hills. I hunted (not so much anymore. working on a CompSci degree now, but I still fish whenever I can). We butchered hogs when necessary (.22 to the head, hop in the pin, split the throat, boil off hair, cut off head, and remove "guts". mmmm, BBQ). It's just something that we do. Humans are omnivorous (I know I probably spelled that wrong) and meat doesn't exactly prepare itself.

It's never been a problem for me. I spent some time on a farm and also worked around a couple of abattoirs.
