aloha all, could this be my prob on a new 1.4ghz (10.5x133) 266fsb system? the crappy compUSA 400w psu and case only supply 1.71 volts to the processor v-core according to BIOS. is that right? i am getting random stop error screens (win 2k blue screens) that read:

Stop: 0x0000000A, 0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 80068349 IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL *** Address 80068349 has base at 80062000, datestamp 381f8c6e

i have checked everything else. ram is new kingston pc133, video is geforce 2 pro, mobo is ECS K7VZA.:disgust:

The fact that IRQ is mentioned in the error message, have you looked to see if there is any conflicts in the device manager? Try moving your PCI cards to different slots. Have you tried the official VIA 4.33 4 in 1's. ;)

THe low voltage might also not be a problem since its so close to what its supposed to be. Also, the compusa psu wouldnt be the reason for the low voltage. The motherboard regulates the voltage. On my computer my CPU(same as yours) is getting 1.81v and I switched power supplies to try to lower it but it did nothing. There is probably a device in your computer that doesnt like to share IRQs. Try disabling ACPI in the bios and then doing a repair of win2k.

I'm not familiar with your mobo. Sorry. Is the sound on board or do you have an ISA card? Either way remove the NIC and/or the sound card and see if that helps. What Drivers r u using. Perhaps the new Detonator 4's might help.

the mobo has its own sound, the drivers im not sure about, i even tried a pci vid card and got the same result. win2k automatically loaded a driver for that card. the mobo was rated a best buy by toms hardware if that means anything.
