As Apple has come up with the iPhone 5 – which has got mixed reactions – Samsung had planned well, even before its (iPhone 5’s) launch that it would launch something in response, which should probably retire iPhone 5 almost entirely from the market. Yes, ‘Samsung TE4’ is what you will see in the market sometime from now, as it is under the ‘testing’ phase of its development. This new model is a surprise as there were reports from unknown Samsung officials which disclosed the release of S4. TE4 has feature which will surely rule the market sometime from now. It will be better than its predecessor, S3, and may even attract the high-priced-smart-phone buyers at least until S4 makes its appearance. So, Samsung has done its home work docilely when Apple taught them unwittingly – by slapping device infringement case on them – and indirectly ‘how to remain in the market legally’! – And Samsung has also learned to win the hearts of people cleverly amidst the chaos.

Samsung released its S3 before the iPhone 5 launch, and it was a hit. Now, when iPhone 5 is out, Samsung hopes to dismiss its effulgence with TE4. S3 Plus – what we think it will be named – has been under test with the name-tag of ‘Samsung TE4’.
Specifications of Samsung TE4 (which are known to us):

  • 1.7GHz Exynos 5 dual-core processor
  • Cortex A15 based processor
  • Mali T604 GPU
  • Display resolution: 1280×752
  • LTE support
As this TE4 has appeared on the benchmark site quite abruptly, we aren’t sure if it will wear the smart-phone clothes or it will go for the tablet apparel – though logic points to the smart-phone direction. If TE4 will be a smart-phone, then it will be very fast & smooth as the clocking of Exynos 5 to 1.7GHz suggests. Samsung had also promised that it will be the first company to use Cortex A15 processor and its going to do that in some time. The GPU specifications also suggest that TE4 will have the best graphics processor into it. Mali T604 is a next-gen GPU with great graphics handling capabilities. LTE support will surely enhance the device and will take it to the next level.
Consequently, the S4’s release is correctly predicted to be not earlier than a year from now, by this TE4. This was also acknowledged by Samsung when it rejected the reports of S4 release to be in the month of March next year. If this (TE4) device comes out now, then Samsung can think of integrating new technology in S4 and also changing the ‘made for humans’ logo and then launch it – making Samsung’s next two years safe in the market.
What do you think about this gadget?

Sounds like they are making a galaxy s3 plus with a dual core A15 and will make a quad core A15 for the galaxy s4,the fact that this has lte is a USA release phone! and clocking it at 1.7 instead of 2.0 is what samsung said its cell phone clocks would be for the exynos 5

I doubt you'll see a quad-core A15 in a phone within a year.

I'll take that quote to the bank. I think we'll see it before November 1, 2013.

Yeah OC, you should probably put some stipulations on your statement. There's always someone out there ready to do something totally crazy.

I agree with you, bit I'd probably refine my statement to say something like we'll never see one from a major mainstream manufacturer on a volume scale.

Hell, I might almost take a bet that some stupid Asian company like ZTE shows one off at MWC in February.

Thinking about it, I bet the Note 3 is the first widely released phone with quad A15. That's probably right in the Sept-Oct timeframe.

it was cut and pasted off a site

You should state it as such, if all you're doing is a cut an paste job and avoid any miss-understandings.

This rumor has already been debunked by Samsung almost 2 months ago.
You're late.

Would you believe SGS4? (Thanks to the last guy in the PowerVR thread.)

Geez, stuff happens fast. I'm glad there's another half-node or whatever of shrink before 22nm though.

For relatively un-interesting things like this if there is a leak and it is true usually a company would be "unavailable for comment" on the issue. If they are denying it, it's probably not true.

Obviously it changes when it is something really negative for the company, like chips over heating and catching fire. The company will always deny that and initiate talks with their lawyers ;)
