Could the U.N. be searching for Iraqi WMD in the wrong country ?!?

according to isreali pm sharon, syria may be helping iraq hide their wmd. ofcourse, syria denies this. sharon says too
these intelligence reports are still preliminary and his people are working to unsurface more tangible information. <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://

Syria said the allegation "is completely, absolutely not true," according to a statement from the Syrian Foreign Ministry.
"And it aims to divert attention from Israel's arsenal of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons which other countries
support by money and weapons to protect Israel and help it develop."

syria's autocrats have much to fear if their worse case scenario of american led intervention plants a western democractic
satellite state on their eastern border. in their response above, you'll note a not too subtle jibe at the u.s. role in both the
imminent invasion and financial support of isreal . . . a classic redirection.

seeing that this is coming from Israel, I have very strong reservations. Then again, with all the horrors coming out of that region, anything is possible in the Middle East.

I doesn't matter either way.. The inspections are just being used to give us time to build up a nice attack force without making it look to obvious.. Iraq will be in total US control by the end of January and the world will be a better place because of it.

So if the Russians had blown up Washington in the 60's they would have achieved total control of the US?

Gee, do you suppose it would be in Israel's interestsif the U.S. invaded Syria and deposed its government, too? Our good friends, the Israelis, surely wouldn't try to use us.

Ummmm??? What are you talking about? 😕

Diplomatically speaking, Israel takes Ass-kissing to a whole new level. Syria is too weak for them to worry about in the immediate future. They need to try to focus on and resolve the Palestinian uprising.

It would be nice if Syria ended its occupation of Lebanon first before worrying about the Palestinians.

Syria also has its own nerve gas production of mainly sarin. It has been know to be working with Saddam in smuggling oil out of Iraq.

There is a great difference between defeating and occupying a nation, and we will need to occupy Iraq to keep it intact and control it.

If the entire city of Washington was vaporized, people in NY would not roll over and die. Likewise, eliminating Saddam does not instantly create stability. I expect the opposite in fact. Time will tell, but unless just about all Iraqis fall in love with the US invading army, we are going to have to deal with the Palestinian/Israeli situation x100. Not looking forward to that.

With all the high tech tunneling equipment sold through out the middle east the stuff could be anywhere. Too little too late I fear..
