Could someone please clarify what the Prime95 'torture test' is?

I finally loaded prime95 to use as part of a test for stability and I'm not sure what is considered the torture test. Is it the Lucas-Lehmer tests?

Please enlighten me

When you load Prime95, the "torture test" will be under the options menu. If you really want to test your system, then run Prime95 and also run a 3D game in software windowed mode and have it loop a demo. Another good idea is to have Motherboard Monitor running in the background, so that you can record the highest, lowest, and average temps of your motherboard and CPU.
