Could someone explain why M/B and CPU temp are different when bootup?

This bothers me since I setup the motherboard (KT7-Raid).
When computer is off, it is an equilibrium state, this means number should close to the room temperature right?
M/B temperature shows a reasonable number, but CPU's is too high, 12 degrees apart.

Sure it is, because the CPU runs hotter than the mobo. At bootup, the CPU must load device drivers, startup programs, Windows & more.

The CPU temp. will always be higher than the MB, even straight after bootup, the CPU generates heaps of heat.
