So I was sitting around and reading about new tech. I finished reading an article on samsungs flash memory progress. Naturally I wondered when they'll be on common ground. But I'm confused on several things...
How come some solid state drives such as the one mentioned in this topic Link have data access '250' times faster that standard hd tech but practically all flash memory I've seen has read/write times the same MB has your common hard drive?
Reading about that I-ram card, it appears to be limited by the Sata bandwidth. Are these solid state drives using a different interface that hasn't found it's way into household desktops?
Thanks to anyone who answer my stupid questions ...
