could my ram not be compatible?

i have 2 sticks of double sided 256ddr in my ga7dxr

when i throw in the stick with only one side of 256ddr, it starts doing wierd things on startup. why is that stick only single sided? is it high density? it has infineon chips on it and i would guess it is good ram (just from reading the forums).

Does sound like a RAM issue. I only use identical Ram in the same machine for that very reason, had the same problem long ago.
