Sure, buy we still have scoreboard on Canadia.

Anywho, if the rest of the world wants to hate people like me for joking about stuff like this that's there right. Of course, I also have the right not to care one bit about what they think.

And so the rest of the world has the right to crack jokes about America, right?

Of course. Why wouldn't they? I crack plenty of jokes about America as do most Americans. Jokes are jokes. Nothing worth getting your panties in a twist about.

Canadians don't even like Canadians. America is envied universally.

Americans seem to have a very poor grasp of numbers...

It has nothing to do with numbers. Bashing Canada is a national pastime here. And besides that, we're forgetting that Microsoft could probably take out a loan and pay it back over a couple of hundred years.

Canadians don't even like Canadians. America is envied universally.

Envied for its power, riches, consumerism, manufacturing, but certainly not for its culture.

Its the culture that generates all the things you listed.

Great rock bands??? You're talking about the same country that gave us Bryan Adamns and Alanis Morissete (sp?) right? Comedians yes. Rock bands no.

I think the statement "Ignorance is a national pastime" is far more accurate. We have a television program up here that's called, "Making Fun Of Americans." The host simply interviews Americans and highlights their astounding ignorance and narrow world view.

Okay, so let me see if I have this right. Canadians make fun of Americans, because Americans are ignorant, because Americans make fun of Canadians? 😛

No, ignorant in their knowledge of their northern neighbor. Read about it here:

I love how you guys can base your entire opinion of a country from a couple road trip there, and have it be totally justified.

When a Canadian does that to America, your panties get in a huge bunch.

What are you talking about? I don't form any opinions for myself at all. I believe whatever the TV tells me to. Oh, and the internet, of course.

"55%
Percentage of respondents who answered "very favourable" or "fairly favourable" when asked how they felt towards America, with Canadians second in line for the most favourable responses (after respondents in the U.S., of course). Overall, 37 per cent of respondents answered "very unfavourable" or "fairly unfavourable.""

55%= good considering the people polled.

Australia (Cool folks)
1,009

Brazil
1,000

Canada
1,000

France (We are arrogant?)
950

Indonesia
1,033

Israel
1,000

Jordan
1,022

Korea
1,000

Russia (Currently trying to be like us)
1,000

United Kingdom ( Wishing they would have taken that Revolution more seriously)
1,000

Most of which are probably basing their opinion on what they are told by the TV and have no Idea what America is about. Having been to six of those countries I can honestly say there is no place I'd rather live than America.

BS. It's definitely envied for its 'culture' - depending on what you mean by culture. Music, films, etc. are well liked by many countries.

That show would be a perfect example of Canadians absolutely obsessed with the US. Obviously Canada should know a lot about the US, simply because US policy has a large impact in Canada. What kind of impact does anything Canada do have on the US? Almost nothing.

Canada is a nice country, but a ton of Canadians are absolutely obsessed with the US. I don't even think that I talk about Canada to anyone once every three months. I imagine Canadians waking up and the first thing they say to whoever they see is 'So what's up with those Americans, eh?'

Wow, gotta love how they structured that one. No consistancy whatsoever to the whole article.

Canadians gave us the Baldur's Gate games and Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic, which I love, but then there is Celine Dion...it's a love and hate thing.
