Was browsing through the new popular science and noticed a fullpage ad put out by AMD and nVidia, touting the combination of an AthlonXP and an nForce in concert with WindowsXP.

I think its the first time I've ever seen an ad actually released by AMD in the print media.
 
Whatever it is, it can't be any worse than those awful alien commercials for the P4's. 😀 What happened to the dudes in the silly bright space suits for the P2's, or the blue men from the P3's??

Some of those "men" were actually "women" and they produced those aliens you see for the P4. 🙂

hmm. a bit OT but i saw on this OEM machine, the name "Athlon 1600" had something like "out competes a competetor of similar speed " or seomthing like that. but anyways, i see adds of AMD much more than B4 now.
