Could God make a rock SOOOO big....

ya know... there's nothing like beating a dead horse. 🙂 It's probably better to stop asking questions like this because they usually end up in a useless Christian-bashing, athiest-bashing flame war that neither side will win or lose.

If I remember correctly, God is "the all mighty and powerful." Therefore, he can't create a rock so large to the point where he cannot lift it....😛

something about closing your eyes, they deceive you. give into the force. yes.

okay, genius, heres an equally stupid question to ask. to get to a point, i have to get halfway there. and once there, theres still another halfway point to get to, ad infinitum. how do i get to that point if i have to keep going halfway? huh? come on!

Yes. But it would require that God act as a silly Carnival performer, doing tricks to satisfy the whim, of foolish men.

It would require a violation of Gods Integrity and Honor. That is something God can't do.

🙂

I think the above post by MrPalco is the first time I have ever seen him post a non-cryptic response to the question.

As far as the question goes....

In this forum, that is like asking what happens when the unstoppable force meets the immovable object. Everyone has their own opinion and the flame war begins.

Oh you guys remember the Nothing in NeverEnding story? What was that anyway? I mean I know it was nothing but how could nothing cause so much something?

Speaking of the Neverending story... Who was the princess/actress that Sebastian had to name? She sure was a hottie! Well, at least I thought so back when I was a youngin'. 🙂

Athanasius - I still remember the religion class (I went to a Jesuit high school) where a smart-ass asked this very question. He was looking all smug and sure of himself until the teacher gently used the very quote you just posted and then we spent the rest of the class discussing what it meant.

ATLien247, I hope you were a youngin, I just saw the movie a few months ago, and she's about 7 years old. Of course, now she would have to be in her early 20's, hmmm I wonder...
