Could ASII scratch CPU core?

Just wondering since it has silver in it. I have a 1gig Athlon and am wondering is the core suppost to be purple or silver? When I look at it straight it is silver but when I look at it at a angel it is purple. Is this normal?
 
Nope. The silver is too well mixed/too small particultes. As far as the color goes, its fairly hard to get ALL the ASII off.
