Announced quite a while back, Realtime Worlds (makers of Crackdown) appear to finally have gotten the online open world GTAish cops and robbers game slated for a March 2010 release.

APB will be on the 360 and PC.

Actually, in one of the previous interviews I read, they took a giant step back from their previously stated "360 and PC" position and are now just saying "PC, maybe consoles later".

Except in the article it states PC and 360.

Krakn, it's an MMO, GTA style.

I'm still looking forward to this game. My excitement for APB decreased slightly when I tried out GTA IV's multiplayer, as that is a small taste of what APB will be.

Why are you assuming GTA IV's multiplayer is a taste of how APB will be? They aren't made by the same company, and despite being in relatively the same genre they will probably be quite different. Playing some Halo 3 isn't a small taste of how Call of Duty 4 is, so why make the same generalization here?

Reformatted the bold text for emphasis.

EDIT: Judging by your MP achievements in GTA IV, which are zero, I'd say I have more experience to form an opinion than you. Play some "Cops 'n Crooks" and get back to me.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Just because I haven't played it long enough to get achievements I don't deserve an opinion?

You still totally missed my point, you're comparing 2 games to each other when they could be completely different... APB isn't even close to being released so we don't know what it's like. You can't take your experience from GTA IV and blatantly apply it to everything else that comes close to the same genre. They could get everything right in APB that GTA IV missed, or completely fuck up APB. Nobody knows how it'll swing, and GTA IV can't be taken as a taste of what APB will be AT ALL... whether it's a 'big' or 'small' taste you just can't compare them.
