Could AMD?

It would seems logical for AMD to drop socket A boards in faver of socket 754(that's it ain't it). Could they make a 32 bit socket 764, AKA Duron. How hard would that be out of curosity.

Pointless. From what ive 'read', AMD cant meet demand on A64 based CPU's, even if they're damaged cores.

They are going to, in the near future socket A will be dead replaced by a non 64 bit version of the current Athlon 64 core (sorry i cant remember the code name for it)
