Could a pregnant woman eat a 10 pound Hershey bar?

shortylickens

No Lifer
I have a lady friend who just started her 2nd trimester and is now planning a shower & gifts & stuff. Because of my stupid Y chromasome I wont be invited to the reception, but I will be expected to provide a gift to another lady friend so she can carry it in.

Anywho, I was at the local Cracker Barrel last week and noticed they have a massive, 10 pound Hershey bar for sale. They also have gift wrapping.

Getting back to the point of the thread: Could a women in her 2nd or 3rd trimester of pregnancy eat 10 whole pounds of chocolate?

1. Why would you want to go if you're a guy?
2. Why do you have to provide a gift if you're not invited?
3. Who cares if she can finish it? She can share it with all her lady friends and then they can talk about how fat they are.

#2. #3 made me laugh.

I am buying junk chocolate because I am not familiar with the nice stuff. I know Godiva is expensive but I dont know how nice it is.

I want to go because baby showers are a great place to meet chicks, and the lonely ones have their loneliness rubbed into their faces and are more receptive to men.
I need to provide a gift to secure a possibilty of future nookie with some of the ladies I know to be attending.
I guess I shouldnt be worried if she can finish it, but I dont like being wasteful with food. Even worse would be to force someone else to be wasteful because I wasnt using my head when I got the gift. Gifts should be thoughtful and should not impose difficulty on the receiver. Puppies and cellphones are horrible gifts because they force the other person so spend lots of time or money they may not have in abundance.

Or I could just get a small box of the expensive stuff (like Godiva) and assume they will all eat it up instantly.

If they have a craving for it, and you're holding it, you might be lucky enough to pull back most of your hand before they devoured it AND the Hershey bar!! 😉

go buy a box of godiva's for ~30 bucks. she will <3 it so much more. my gf loves see's and godiva. too bad she's a little chunky right now and cant enjoy it.

Sure, it could be eaten over a period of time. If the woman is a big chocolate fan, probably 3-4 weeks.

And it could be that Hershey's is her favorite brand. Not everyone likes gourmet chocolate. My wife is as big of a chocoholic as there is, but she does not like Godiva or other high-end brands. She wants Raisinettes, Reese's cups and Hershey's.

Q. Do you know how you eat an Elephant?

A. One bite at a time.

Hopefully that will help solve your mystery. 😉

If you get her that chocolate bar you will be known by every woman who attends that shower as the guy who brought "the big one" Shortylickens, imagine women talking and saying things like "OMG,it was the biggest one I've ever seen" and " I couldn't fit the whole thing into my mouth,it was so big"

I think what I like most about Anandtech is the women are more perverse than the men.

Thank you ma'am, I'll buy it tomorrow morning before school. The Cracker Barrel is normally my favorite breakfast spot during the week.
