Could a owner of a Microsoft Strategic Commander please help

I have the Sidewinder Strategic Commander controller, and can't find my installation CD. I looked all over the Microsoft website and nowhere is there a link to DL an installer. I tried DLing the Sidewinder driver pack (3.02) and when I tried to install it, it said it wasn't compatible with my OS (Windows XP). Windows XP has drivers for it, they show up under Keyboards as an HID. But I have no way to assign keys to the buttons, also it doesn't appear I can record macros on the fly either since the buttons on the controller don't light up like they did under Windows 98. I have been to BestBuy, Circuit City, and CompUSA and none of these store carry this item any longer.

So basically now I am looking for someone with the CD that can either send me a image file of the CD, or a zipped file of all the installation files. Since I need the application that allows me to configure the controller. If not I just have a $60 paper weight.

If anyone could help it would be much appreciated, my Windows Messenger name is Nymtipleg@hotmail.com

Humm, you're in a tough spot. The 3.02 software is just for the old Sidewinders that used the gameport/MIDIport, everything newer shipped with its own software.🙁 He's right, someone is going to have to send him an ISO of the CD.😱

I have the CD and I zipped the folder setup and all the other files. The only things I didn't include were "Directx7a" and "Video". The only problem is that I only have 10 mb of storage from attbi. If you give me an FTP address to upload to I can do it. It's 14.49 mb.

thanks for the help guys, but after spending all night ripping apart my room I found the blasted CD... thanks again, just glad it's up and running now.
