Could a hamburger be cooked in bacon grease?

Seriously, just thought of this a moment ago. I cooked my eggs this morning in the grease of freshly cooked bacon, as I always do. I wonder if I could do the same with a beef patty? What do you think?

UPDATE: The one and only bacon burger, literally.

Yea it could be done. I'm not sure if it would taste that great. That would sit a bit heavy in my stomach for sure.

I figured I'd cook the bacon first, and I'm too lazy to bother cleaning the pan in between.

This reminds me though, I need to pick up some cheese. I wonder if I can find pepperjack...

That's what I mean, cook the bacon first, don't clean the pan, cook the beef patty in the greasy residue left behind by cooking the bacon first.

When we make bacon sourdough burgers (not often, it's been months) we fry the bacon, then cook the burgers and the sourdough in the grease.

Yes, and it tastes great.

Bacon grease is just fat, fat is one of the most widely utilized tools in cooking.

If you've ever had a burger at a diner or similar greasy spoon, most likely it was cooked on the griddle and that griddle was pretty much covered with grease from the bacon they've cooked that day.

Yeah, I've watched them do it that way.
