Cottage Cheese and Applesauce

The only way I can tolerate large quantities of cream cheese is by adding fruit, or something! (mixed fruit, or if none is available I'll use green olives). Unsweetened apple sauce could be tasty.

I only ever saw it mixed with apple butter, not apple sauce.

Didn't care for it though. (But apple butter with other non-cottage-cheese things is good stuff.)

Mix it up real good, maybe a slightly higher ratio of applesauce to cottage cheese

Try putting cottage cheese on a burger. Add a little salt and pepper and you're all set! I know it sounds crazy but it's really good! I could eat cottage cheese with anything. It's even good on just a plain burger patty!

oh! that made me remember the cream cheese and jam sandwiches i used to have all the time when i was little and we either ran out of sandwich meat or couldn't afford any.

those were SO good! i'm gonna have to do that again.


on the topic...never had applesauce with CC, but i love having a spoonful of jam mixed into a small bowl of CC. Especially homemade raspberry jam...
