if it doesn't work correctly then that's covered by warranty and is completely seperate from returning it.
how is not working as expected any different from finding yourself wanting more features?

What's your point? People return things to costco because it's easier than going thru a manufacturer and doesn't require return shipping. I believe costco is well aware of this. They also have a 'satisfaction guaranteed' approach to their products, something that makes them awesome.

Policy

People who return food should be taken out the back and shot. I get hulk rage every time I see somebody return a half bag of potato chips.

Most places have satisfaction guarantees for 14-30 days. Use them.

Use them but don't abuse in order to enjoy something you like for a little while for free. Lots of people buy clothes for particular occasions only to return them after the event. Some complain about entrees at a restaurant when they are already 1/2 eaten. That's abuse.

But I have no problem returning food if it's cr@p and don't think anyone else should either.

my point is that returning a product because you found out another product will suit your needs better is no different than returning it because it's broken just because it's less of a hassle or because it's not working "as expected".

I purchased a loaf of bread from the supermarket and didn't realize it was already molded until I got home and opened it. Am I not allowed to return that?
